another anticipated show from Raf Simons has upped its game, their 2014 Resort collection will be shown in Monte Carlo. Dior has had a long relationship with some of Monaco’s most notable including Princess Grace of Monaco and Prince Albert’s wife Charlene Wittstock.

the collection will show May 18.

just as fast as it was here, it was gone. John Galliano’s masterclass to be held at Parson’s (previously mentioned HERE) has been canceled. Parsons spokeswoman Deborah Kirschner told The New York Times it was canceled because an agreement on the structure of the class could not be reached - but there was also a petition circling around to cancel the class, so who knows.

custom McQueen for men. its only natural that given their Savile Row men’s shop, McQueen will be rolling out bespoke services for its clients in the basement of this enviable real estate location.

the head tailor will measure, draft and cut the patterns followed by fittings to ensure the upmost fit+quality. classic and exclusive house fabrics will be used. bespoke offerings start at $4,360 for a jacket and $5,446 for a two-piece suit. a made-to-measure service will offer more McQueen in three styles: single-breasted, two-button jacket and double-breasted - all produced in Italy. these prices will start at $2,624.

if its anything like the first campaign+film the second Dior ‘Secret Garden’ short will be stunning. (see the first film HERE.) this second film will also be set at Versailles, this time set in the forests near the Petit Trianon.

‘Secret Garden 2 - Versailles’ highlights Dior’s F/W ‘13 collection and brings back model Daria Strokous to lead in a fairy-tale atmosphere. the print campaign is set to roll out this weekend in Vogue China and the one minute film is set to debut in June on Dior’s online media Diormag.

another year, another disappointing red carpet at the Met Costume Institute Gala. the theme was Punk, and people either don’t care to work around that theme or just dont get the memo. if i had gone to this event i would have gone into designers archives to find the perfect costume - it is after all a costume gala.

anyways, above are the few people that actually did an ok job with the theme at hand. Madonna may look a little cray but at least she went big with it, and Christina Ricci at least paid homage to the mother of British punk fashion: Vivienne Westwood. i know that MK+A O didnt stick to the theme, but i love them so they get a free pass.
